PSP commissioner André Teixeira told Lusa, some people were arrested red-handed selling drugs on public roads and others inside houses, during the operation related to an investigation process for drug trafficking that has lasted for six months.

He also said that several types of drugs were seized, without being able to specify the amount at the moment. Firearms were also seized.

The operation in the Quinta do Loureiro neighbourhood involved the execution of 18 house search warrants.
