The haul was made after a tip-off of suspicious activity in the Praia da Rocha area during the early hours of last Friday morning. Maritime Police were immediately dispatched to the location and passed a foreign-registered vehicle travelling at high speed matching the description of the tip-off. A chase ensued during which the getaway car swerved and crashed, and the suspects fled on foot. Police then inspected the area and found the drugs in a bin; the case has now been handed over to the PJ police.
