A barometer by consumer rights watchdog Deco concludes that the Algarve and Madeira were the regions most affected by the pandemic, with more than 40% of families saying they lost more than a quarter of their income last year. The Algarve has the highest percentage of people who admit financial difficulties (73%), with Faro appearing as one of the most critical districts (81%).
