In a joint statement, the Directorate-General for Health and the Shared Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS) recall that the autumn-winter seasonal booster campaign, which has been running since September 7 in several vaccination centers across the country, will continue if needed until December.

The priority is “to protect the most vulnerable people, preventing serious illness, hospitalisation, and death”, says the note, stressing that the goal is to vaccinate three million eligible people this year.

In the coming weeks, the seasonal reinforcement campaign against covid-19 will be extended to people over 50.
