According to the figures, the Algarve had, at the end of the last month, 32,271 unemployed registered with job centres, 1,182 fewer people than in March.

This drop is believed to be partly due to the fact that hotels, resorts, cafes, restaurants and shops have reopened, as well as with the resumption of some air connections.
