The announcement was made today by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)

Portugal was one of the countries that has expressed interest to host the competition, which this year will take place in Houston, in the United States, and has never taken place in Portugal.

The final proposals will have to be delivered by the end of the month, with inspections by the ITTF taking place between July and August of this year, followed by various presentations by the candidates before the vote.
