Breaking News: UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has just announced (11:30) that with effect from July 19 fully-vaccinated holidaymakers will be able to travel to amber list countries (Portugal) with their children without having to quarantine on their return to the UK.

Strange that you can travel to the UK with for example a family member who is a UK resident and has been visiting you for 2 weeks. You both have double dose vaccinations completed and more than 14 days has passed since vaccinations. Both take PCR tests and both are negative.
The strange part is that you are a Portuguese resident so must quarantine because you didn't get vaccinated by the NHS UK. Your family member identically vaccinated and tested must quarantine.
What madness in the UK.
