Portugal’s general director of Health, Graça Freitas, believes that from September it will be possible to remove restrictions and learn to live with Covid-19.

She said by that time 70% of the eligible population will be fully vaccinated.

In an interview with TSF and Jornal de Notícias, Graça Freitas revealed that the country is at an “excellent rate of vaccination”, predicting that “in early September (…) the tendency will be to resume our lives with relief from the measures”.

Respiratory illness deaths will begin to rise again in September. Because...seasonality. More specifically, less vitamin D from less sunshine.

You would hope a Health Director would know this. I fully expect she does, so draw your own conclusions.
