Around 550 kilometres separate the city of Faro (Algarve) from Porto. If you are in the Algarve and want to get to Porto, there are several ways to travel. You can travel by car, bus (Flixbus or Rede Expressos), train or even by plane.

As for the train, the trip on the Alfa Pendular lasts about six hours and costs 58.60 euros, if you travel in economy class. However, if you buy your ticket more than five days in advance, that same trip could cost 35.60 euros.

The plane ends up being, effectively, the means of transport that ensures the fastest connection between Faro and Porto, in addition to being the cheapest. On February 8, for example, there are two Ryanair flights and tickets for both are on sale for just 15 euros. However, this is the cheapest option if you only need to carry a backpack.
