"The Council of Ministers approved a resolution that extends the situation of calamity throughout the mainland national territory until 11:59pm on 31 August 2021 and changes the measures applicable," says the statement released after the meeting of the Council of Ministers on the new deconfinement plan.
The disaster situation, the highest level of response to catastrophic situations provided for in the Civil Protection Framework Law, came into force on 1 May and has been renewed every fortnight.
The current calamity situation ended on 8 August, but the executive decided on 30 July to extend it until 31 August.
The Government defined the new deconfinement plan, consisting of three phases that follow the expected pace of the vaccination plan against Covid-19.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, 17,330 people have died in Portugal and 963,446 cases of infection have been recorded.
This will NEVER end until the people stand up. Have been saying the same for over a year at this point. When will you wake up?

Another month for the government to have carte blanche to do whatever it takes to destroy the last few independent businesses left!

In Sweden it is free and open...
The tourists have found their way back to Sweden.
And here is nothing as expected.
There are no mask protection requirements here and it is free to go to the club and bars.
There is no pandemic here, says Tina Grum from Slovenia.
Claudia and Adrian Mirtl and their three sons Max, Julius and Leo are enjoying their motorhome holiday in Sweden. Back home in Liz, Austria, they made sure to carefully prepare for the holidays.
We fixed our covid certificates, did coronate tests and bought a lot of mouth guards. We came prepared but it was a surprise that we did not need any of it, says Adrian Mirtl.
Mouthguards are a recurring example among tourists. At first they have sat as they should, over their noses and mouths, but now they are lying in the camper.
In the beginning we thought of the pandemic. We used our mouth guards, but then we stopped when everyone pointed and said "look there is a German, he still has his mouth guard on", says Alexander Schwandt who is on holiday in Sweden with his family.

Planning to go to live in Sweden ... The only normal place on earth. No mask repression and no big fuss about something that should have been managed the smart way ... the Swedish way. I love Sweden!

It is very strange but at the same time frightening why Sweden is completely out of the madness that is going on in Portugal, France, Greece, Germany, Denmark, UK, Canada, Australia. During the Second World War, Sweden was just like now with covid 19 completely outside what was going on on the continent. I believe that Sweden is a warning bell, when Sweden's state and government do the opposite of what all other countries in Europe do, then there are serious things going on in the background that we ordinary people are not allowed to know the truth.
Portugal is one of the best countries in Europe with low crime, fantastic climate, modern infrastructure, Portugal is also well located geographically with proximity to all of Europe and the fastest route to Brazil, it is strange why corona virus exaggerations continue in Portugal, when comparing Sweden and Portugal both countries have now had the same effect of what is called covid 19, now when the seasonal flu has been gone for almost 2 years, people must start waking up and see the truth, covid 19 is the seasonal flu 2020, now in the autumn of 2021 new variants will be the seasonal flu 2021.
Can Sweden be completely open without masks, curfews, lock downs and other draconian measures then Portugal should not be plagued by this evil either, because it is not normal to divide the population after vaccination against a flu by 0.2 percent and lower mortality .
