In this book we get a selection of photos from his life, both on and off stage. The forward is written by Helen Mirren and Albert Watson.
Ukraine-born Sergei Polunin has a one of a kind talent. He trained in Kiev and at the age of 13 he was admitted to the Royal Ballet School in London. Aged 21 he decided to change course from purely classical dance and follow new contemporary art forms including creating his own productions.
We get to go on an emotional journey with Polunin as he shares both the highs and lows of his life to date. There are many stories about his addictions and the challenges he has encountered but how he emerged from that is an inspiration to many. His descriptions of the photos are enchanting and shed a light on aspects of his personality. He recently also became a father.
This is a wonderful book. It is well thought out and the quality is great. This really is a fabulous addition to any ballet fans collection.
