The first stage will be for sprinters, linking Portimão to Lagos, before the second stage links Albufeira to the top of Fóia covering 182.4 km.
This year Lagoa will not host the individual time trial, which in the fourth stage will link Vila Real de Santo António to Tavira, after a third day dedicated to sprinters, between Almodôvar and Faro (209.1 km).
The course maintains the usual schedule, with two days dedicated to the fastest men in the peloton, two mountain days and a time trial to test the 25 teams, 10 of them from the highest level in the world, the WorldTour.

16 February: Portimão – Lagos, 199.1 km.
17 February: Albufeira – Fóia, 182.4 km.
18 February: Almodôvar – Faro, 209.1 km.
19 February: Vila Real de Santo António – Tavira, 32.2 km (CRI).
20 February: Lagoa – Malhão, 173 km.
