The Swedish repeat last year’s presence in the Tournament held at Estádio do Algarve.
Teams like FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland aren't present in this edition due to the Europa League calendar changes.
As for the Americans, on the last day of their pre-season training camp in the Algarve region, filled the place left open from the withdrawal of Torpedo Kutaisi (Georgia) back in December.
The coaches rotated a lot of players, as usual in the pre-season, but the match was lively and with plenty of goals. The Swedish won 3-2 with goals by Mathias Kvistgaarden (20'), Yuito Suzuki (39') and Mileta Rojovic (76'). For the American side scored the most recent signing, Logan Farrington (79'), and the team benefited from an own goal (50').

In the end of the match, FC Dallas staff talked to The Portugal News and confirmed that in the Algarve they found amazing facilities for preparing the next season.
Worth mentioning is that both teams had a former Portugal's SL Benfica player on their starting eleven: Petar Musa for Dallas, and Daniel Wass for Brøndby.

In the evening, the Scandinavian clash between IFK Gotemborg and Rosenborg BK tried to heat the cold and windy night, as well as the close to fifty Norseman that fought the cold and went to Loulé to see the match live. The Swedish team forced an own goal at the 41 minutes mark and despite the good reply from Rosenborg in the second half, the Swedes took the 3 points.
The Atlantic Cup resumes next Sunday, at 12pm with the match between Brentford B and CD Mafra (invitational).
