“I hope you reassess, in the light of the national interest, the issue of restructuring SEF scheduled for May,” the president of the Union for the Career of Investigation and Inspection of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SCIF/SEF) told Lusa.
Acácio Pereira also considered the new minister as “a sensible person who takes into account the national interest”.
The extinction of the Foreigners and Borders Service, decided by the outgoing Government and approved last year by the Assembly of the Republic, was postponed from January to May due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
