“These are official data from the INE [National Statistics Institute]. In volume, it was around 14% and, in value, around 24%, which implies an increase in the average price”, said Arlindo Cunha.
He added that it was “one of the regions that grew the most in terms of exports” and, currently, Dão is “more or less reaching the levels it had before Covid-19”.
Now, with the restrictions of the pandemic slowing down a little all over the world, the reopening of restaurants and hotels, Arlindo Cunha said that “a recovery is taking place, not only in Dão, because all regions have grown and the country has grown” also.
Portugal has to urgently be less modest and up the prices of the wines for export which should be a big percentage.
