In a statement, the PJ explains that the incident took place in May and that the detainee is suspected, together with two other individuals, of having robbed and murdered a person.

The 26-year-old man, who was located by the Criminal Information Unit, had connections to Portugal, where he allegedly travelled with his partner, a Portuguese citizen.

The arrest took place on the day the international warrant was entered by INTERPOL.
