Following the closure of the 22 stores it had in the Iberian
Peninsula seven months ago (which resulted in the dismissal of 400 employees),
New Balance will reopen five stores in Portugal and Spain, reports Servimedia.
Madrid, Barcelona, Porto and Lisbon are the cities where shops
will reopen. The intention of the sports equipment company is that the first
stores can be opened as early as August and the rest by the end of the year.
The two stores in Madrid will open in San Sebastián de los
Reyes Style Outlets and Getafe Style Outlets. In Portugal, they will be at
Freeport Fashion Outlet in Lisbon and Vila do Conde Fashion Outlet in Porto.
The only physical store on the high street that has already been confirmed will
be in Barcelona, on Rambla de Cataluña 49.
