Irregular timetables, the use of a mask and other Covid-19
restrictions will all be dropped in schools when the new school year begins
again in September.
According to the Ministry of Education (ME), quoted by Público,
the next school year will take place without any measures to combat Covid-19.
Taking into account the current phase of the pandemic and
the norm of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) that is in force, “it is
up to each person to comply with non-pharmacological measures to prevent
infection”, said the ministry supervised by João Costa, adding that it is in
“permanent coordination” with the DGS “in order to apply any other measures
that may be determined, as a result of the evolution of the pandemic”.
School directors, however, have not yet received an official
communication from the Government that there will be no limitations in the
academic year that begins in September. The president of the National
Association of Directors of Public Groups and Schools (Andaep), Filinto Lima,
argues that “there needs to be a communication from the ME or the DGS, the
competent entity, to update on the measures for schools”.
BIG MISTAKE! What are you thinking? You need to be "Pro-Active. Now there's Monkeypox that like Covid is spread by droplets hanging in the air if someone sneezes or coughs. I know it's a pain to mask-up AGAIN but Covid isn't gone, people who have Monkeypox describe it like someone is sticking chards of glass into your skin! I'll wear the mask, hate broken glass. And yes, eyes wide open, Polio is back so if you're an Anti-Vaxer your shield has disintegrated.
