Initially, Chris Martin's band had only scheduled a single date,
on May 17, 2023 at Estádio Cidade de Coimbra, but the high demand for tickets -
on sale today - led to the appointment of a second date, on May 18, a third
date for May 20, and now a fourth date for May 21, 2023.
The promoter warns that only tickets sold at official points
are valid, and that "they are neither refundable nor available for
exchange".
The high demand for tickets today caused congestion in
access to official websites, with more than 400,000 people waiting, around
12:00, on the Ticktline platform.
The executive president of the Ticketline platform, Ana
Ribeiro, told Lusa that the demand for tickets for Coldplay concerts in
Portugal is reaching a historic level, unprecedented in the country.
“It is unprecedented in Portugal, there has never been so
much demand for an event in Portugal!”, wrote Ana Ribeiro, in a short message
sent to Lusa, after being asked if there was a record of similar demand in
previous instances.
Before 10:00 am today, when tickets for Coldplay's May 17,
2023 concert at Estádio Cidade de Coimbra went on sale, there were already
queues online and in physical stores.
After 12:00, on Ticketline, there was an indication above
450,000 passwords to buy a ticket specifically for the concerts.
