ANA Aeroportos de Portugal has clarified that Vueling's move
to Terminal 2 of Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon, will take place on
November 4, contrary to what the company that manages national airports had
initially indicated.
In an information note sent to the press, ANA Aeroportos de
Portugal explains that the change is due to the change in “airline market
shares at Humberto Delgado Airport” and aims to “ensure optimal use of airport
resources”.
This change had already been communicated on 20 October,
although, at the time, ANA Aeroportos de Portugal indicated that Vueling's
transfer to Terminal 2 of Lisbon's airport infrastructure should take place on
30 October, the date on which easyJet and Eurowings change terminals, moving
the British low-cost airline to Terminal 1, while the low-cost carrier of the
Lufthansa Group starts operating in Terminal 2.
ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, however, asks passengers to
contact their airline or consult the Lisbon airport website, in order to obtain
more information.
