“Adherence levels are very close to those of the previous
strike, that is, around 90%. There are many schools closed from north to south
of the country and others are open, but classes are not taking place due to a
lack of teachers”, João Dias da Silva told Lusa.
Teachers are today carrying out a national strike in protest
against the alleged lack of investment by the Government in education, which
they believe is exposed in the proposed State Budget (OE) for 2023.
