According to CM, at around 10:00am today (25 November), the Maritime Police in Albufeira received information that a dead whale had been found 3 NM south of Albufeira.

The Ferragudo lifeboat was involved in the search operation and located the whale off the beach of Oura, Albufeira.

After coordination with the Civil Protection of Albufeira, Albufeira City Council and Docapesca, the lifeboat from Ferragudo towed the whale to the port of Albufeira where it was removed and transported to a landfill in the Port of Lagos.
