According to a statement from the carrier, the increase in capacity is due to the “success of the route” and aims to “satisfy the growing demand for Israel as a destination”.

The extra EL AL flights start on March 28th and cover the Lisbon-Tel Aviv and Tel Aviv-Lisbon routes.

According to Publituris, EL AL plans to carry out two extra flights still in March, the first of which on the 28th, leaving Lisbon at 3:30 pm to arrive in Tel Aviv at 10:45 pm, while in the opposite direction departure from Israel takes place at 10:15 am, while the arrival in Lisbon is scheduled for 14:10.

On the 31st of March, EL AL will once again operate new extra flights in both directions, with departure from Lisbon taking place at 9:05 am and arrival in Israel at 4:20 pm, while in the opposite direction, departure from Tel Aviv is scheduled for 4:00 am, arriving in the Portuguese capital at 7:55 am.

On April 5, another extra flight is planned in each direction, with the flight from the Portuguese capital departing at 9:05 am, arriving in Tel Aviv at 4:20 pm, while in the opposite direction the departure takes place at 4:00 am, arriving in Lisbon at 7:55 am.

In April, EL AL will operate three extra flights in each direction, with a connection also planned for April 10, which departs from the Portuguese capital at 5.30 pm and arrives in Tel Aviv at 00.45 am, while in the opposite direction departure from Tel Aviv is scheduled for 12:15 pm, arriving in Lisbon at 4:10 pm.

On April 18, there will be a new flight again, with departure from Lisbon scheduled for 3:30 pm, arriving in Tel Aviv at 10:45 pm, while in the opposite direction, departure from Israel takes place at 9:00 am, while arrival in Lisbon is scheduled for 12:55 pm.

The last extra flight by EL AL takes place on April 25, leaving Lisbon at 3:30 pm to arrive in Tel Aviv at 10:45 pm, while the departure from the Israeli city is scheduled for 9:00 am, arriving in Lisbon at 12:55 pm.

Over the summer, EL AL intends to reinforce the operation, “adding additional flights on Tuesdays and Fridays”, adds the Israeli carrier, stressing that these connections will be “loaded soon into the global distribution system (GDS) ”.
