In a statement, the Porto Chamber states that circulation in the Ceuta Tunnel “will be interrupted for 16 nights, intermittently, throughout the months of March, April, May and June”.
The first closure will be on Thursday, between 22:00 and 02:00 on Friday, repeating at the same time on March 23rd and 30th, April 07th, 14th, 21st and 28th, April 05th, 12th, May 19th and 26th, June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.
The Pink Line, which will link São Bento to Casa da Música, runs in parallel with the expansion of the Yellow Line, in Vila Nova de Gaia, (Santo Ovídio - Vila d'Este, and should be completed by the end of 2024.
The initial cost of the works amounted to 98.9 million euros (Yellow Line) and 189 million euros (Pink Line), but with the increases known on March 6, the total grew by around 84 million euros, according to calculations from Lusa agency.
