This happens after prices registered a mixed behaviour at the start of this week, with the price of diesel falling but that of petrol rising.
Currently, the average price of simple diesel is €1,490/litre, while 95 petrol is costing an average of €1,697/litre, according to data from the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).
At the beginning of the week the Ministry of Finance announced that it decided to maintain measures to mitigate the rise in fuel prices until April 17, with a reduction in the tax burden equal to that of March, equivalent to 34 cents per litre of diesel and gasoline.
