The National Institute of Statistics (INE) confirmed that the interest rate on all home loan contracts rose to 2.829% in March, the highest value since June 2009. The average mortgage payment also stood at 331 euros in March, reaching a maximum not recorded since February 2009.
In March, “the implicit interest rate on home loans rose to 2.829%, a figure 29.7 basis points (b.p.) higher than the previous month and the highest since June 2009”, reveals the INE.
Sounds like a bargain. Here in the USA interest rates are 6.44% to 7.991%
