Mercadona will open their next supermarket on Tuesday, May 23, in Marco de Canaveses, in the Porto district, an official source for the Spanish brand confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto.

This is one of the 10 stores that the Spanish group intends to open this year in Portugal.

Mercadona's goal is to close 2023 with 49 supermarkets in Portugal.

"Marco de Canaveses, Braga, Lousada, Gondomar, Seixal (Corroios), Sintra (Mercês and Massamá), Torres Vedras, Vila Franca de Xira (Alverca) and Figueira da Foz are the next cities to receive a Mercadona supermarket", said the brand in April.
