The beaches in the municipality of Almada are in 20th position in the ranking, with almost 250,000 publications on Instagram, according to a study by weloveholidays which looks at the number of hashtags used for each on the social media platform.

At the top of this list is Positano Beach, on Italy's Amalfi Coast, with over 2.5 million publications.

Cinque Terre, also in Italy, follows in second place, with more than 2.4 million publications. The podium is completed by the Spanish beach Sitges, with more than 1.5 million.
