In a Misery Index ranking factoring in unemployment rate, inflation rate, GDP growth and interest rates, Ireland came out as the 3rd least miserable country, with a misery index of 8.602.

The Emerald Isle was only beaten by Kuwait, with a score of 8.6, and Switzerland, scoring 8.518. Meanwhile, notable placements include China in 16th, the US in 23rd and the UK in 28th.
