This animal, which can reach "close to ten metres in length", "is huge but not dangerous, feeding on krill, plankton and fish eggs", reveals the DGRM, further explaining that "by opening its enormous mouth in water it retains food, being able to filter more than two thousand tons of water per hour".
Sometimes, the basking shark is "sighted on the national Atlantic coast". According to the DGRM, "they are normally sighted where the water is richer in food and are not afraid to approach people or boats".
The biggest sharks I've met have always been human ones! Plus quite a few 'whales' on the beach!

Wow this shark is huge! I never heard of it before, glad it doesn't feed on humans.

You forgot to mention blue sharks have also been spotted in both Spain and Portugal, on the Atlantic coast and are rated the fifth most dangerous shark.

Obviously this giant shark is going to open up it's huge mouth and eat up all fish stocks, since it's found in waters with plenty of food and fish, where it can feast. Well fishermen should fish it and cut it up, and sell it in the fish market. It can be sold as shark stakes, and grilled in the barbecue, some sea salt and lemon on it. yummy yummy
