This ordinance indicates Lusa quoting the text of the document, “creates an exceptional regime for the operation of aircraft” at Humberto Delgado Airport between July 28 and August 8.
This exceptional regime “only covers scheduled air movements with an assigned time slot, which, for reasons unannounced and beyond the control of the air carrier, may suffer delays that force the flight to enter the night period in the period between 00:00 and at 02:00”, the document reads.
The changes also cover the overnight period, since the anticipation of “flights for the period between 5:30 am and 6:00 am is also allowed, provided that they have a time slot allocated for the period between 6:00 am and 6:30 am”.
According to Lusa, the ordinance does not establish any limit on the number of flights that can take place during these periods.
The measure comes in connection with World Youth Day (WYD), which takes place between August 1st and 6th, in Lisbon, with the forecast, says the Government, that the capital will receive more than one million pilgrims.
