A video showing “several” orcas “attacking” a boat off the coast of Portugal has been shared on social media.
The video shows the occupants of a boat called 'Santa Bárbara' when they realise they are surrounded by orcas.
In the video, the boat can be seen surrounded by the orcas and a woman's call for help can be heard.

"We are being attacked by orcas off the coast of Sesimbra. We are about a mile from Sesimbra", says the woman.
"We have several orcas around our sailboat", she says. There is also a moment in the video where the same person who makes the phone calls says that "she is tired of calling" and that no one answers her.
You are in the orca territorial waters, just move away.

Orcas do not attack or kill people in the wild, they only exhibit that type of behavior in captivity. Obviously, this boat was encroaching on their space and that's why they attacked the boat as an expression for the boat to leave!
