Because of this the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed seven districts on red alert.
Beja, Évora, Portalegre, Castelo Branco, Santarém, Viseu, Vila Real and Bragança are expected to have the highest temperatures, with Castelo Branco being the hottest of all, with 42º.
The remaining districts of the continent will be under an orange warning (the second most serious), also due to the hot weather,.
During the night, minimum temperatures will also be high, "with values above 20°C (tropical nights) in much of the territory, and may not even drop below 25°C in some places in the Algarve, Alentejo and Beira Interior".
The IPMA predicts that temperatures will only begin to drop in a generalised way from Friday, "reaching normal values for the time of year on the weekend of the 26th and 27th".
The rise in temperature is related to "an anticyclonic ridge that extends from the Azores to Central Europe, promoting the transport of a mass of hot and dry air originating in North Africa over the territory of the continent".
'Red Alert', does anyone take any of this seriously anymore? Whether it's been Red threats of terrorism, countries on the Red list during the plandemic, or a Red alert for normal weather conditions in the climate scam days, we've been under something red for the best part of 20 years and under a state of fear. As a very famous, (and one of the last honest), British politician once said - "There are two ways in which people are controlled, first of all frighten people (red everything) and secondly demoralise them (e.g., Biden vs Trump) - an educated, healthy, and confident nation is harder to govern.

Hell must have frozen over, I actually agree with Wes! I have been awake for a while now, it's nice to see how many others are waking up - finally!
I'd like to add, that Climate Czar Al Gore - who owns 5 properties, 3 of which beachfront, 2 yachts, 2 private planes and over 10 cars - said that a large chunk of the world (NYC, London, Venice, Amsterdam, Maledives) would be under water by 2012. He said this in the 90s. When that didn't happen, he changed it to 2018. Then that didn't happen either, so they had to change it to 2023. Still no underwater cities. Oh and banks, give 30+ year mortgages on beachfront properties worldwide. Why would they do that if we're all doomed? Common sense really isn't that common I have learned.
So in conclusion: People who still believe anything television says, can not be helped. Leave them be and ignore. Fortunately they make it very easy to avoid them: they're the masked ones who introduce themselves with their pronouns, standing in the covid vax queue for their 7th injection.

Red alerts are not to be scoffed at, they can be a forewarning of what's to come. On 11 July 2022 I received two such alerts by SMS, several hours apart, warning of an extremely high risk of rural fires. Two days later, on 13 July, I saw large plumes of smoke in the sky, then two men from the forest protection unit called at my house to say our village was being evacuated as the fire was approaching us fast, and we all had to leave. So these warnings do serve a purpose. If the authorities never bothered sending warnings, and major fires later broke out, people would be complaining about not having been warned! Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

Bang on Hart, and frozen over - I guess miracles do happen!
In addition, let's not forget about (to name a few):
1966 - Oil gone in 10 years
1970 - all natural resources gone by 2000
1972 - Ice age by 2000
1974 - ozone depletion = eno of life on earth
1980 - Acid rain killing all lake life
1988 - Maldives under water by 2018
1996 - peak oil in 2000
2000 - Millenium bug wipes out all data worldwide
2002 - Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq
2004 - Britain will be Siberia by 2024
2008 - Artic ice free by 2018
2009 - Wrong'un, Prince Charles (now 'king) 'we have 96 months to save planet earth'
2020 - a third of the world's population could die of COVID
2023 - UN chief, 'the era of global boiling has arrived'.
In other news, Arson is not climate change!

Wes, the Y2K hysteria, was not only supposed to wipe out data. I remember the media hyperventilating about airplanes falling from the skies, nuclear facilities exploding, malfunctioning traffic lights causing death and mayhem, and all people in hospitals dying.
Not to mention the never ending covid-related lies we were fed, about everything imaginable.
Personally for me, the worst was believing 'scientists' telling us that a 'vaccine' only works if the person standing next to you had one too. I still can't fathom how many thought this was science! Or how walking into a restaurant covid could attack you, so you had to wear a mask, but sitting down to eat, covid would stay away, so you could eat safely. Same in airplanes, where recycled air circulates: eating good, not eating bad. Same people telling you this was 'science' can't tell you what a woman is.
The real pandemic and global crisis is clearly human stupidity.

You must be US expats, so along with your person, you are introducing the typical American ignorance and climate change denial. Why don't yoiu go back to your (des)United States and stay there, along with your ignorance.

Hart, I 100 percent agree. The problem with common sense, is that it's not common at all.
So, are you ready for the incoming new variant and all that comes with it?
I read an article yesterday from the Guardian I believe, stating "A New COVID Variant is on the Rise - How Worried should we be?" . . . .
How is it possible that governments have already hired personnel for Lockdowns starting mid-September, purchased ‘Testing and PPE', bought the Propaganda, and magically have a ‘vaccine’…for a ‘virus’…that they have not yet confirmed?
