Just over 30 people attended the popular O António - Restaurant Moncarapacho and it is fair to say that a good time was had by all.

It was great to see some new faces, some of which had a service connection and others that didn’t.

These events are social occasions where the Royal British Legion hold a prize draw to raise funds for their Poppy Appeal but as importantly, they are just a fun occasion for new people to meet and often a chance to try out a new restaurant.

“António’s is a regular venue for the RBL” said Mary McClay, the event organiser on this occasion “they really looked after us and the food was superb. I am delighted to announce the grand sum of €225.00 was raised for the Poppy Appeal” she continued.

We are now looking forward to the next event which is a Halloween Bash taking place on Saturday 28th October @ 13:00 at Johnny Hooper’s Saxophone Bistro, Albufeira. Everyone is welcome so BOOK NOW through Steve: bland.sg@gmail.com. – it will be a blast!
