Nuno Borges moved up one spot to 74th in the global rankings. He is still the only Portuguese player in the top 100 of the ATP rankings, which are still headed by Novak Djokovic.

Nuno Borges, a 26-year-old whose best ranking was 63rd in April, lost to Frederico Silva, the second-best Portuguese player in the hierarchy, in the first round of the Brest Challenger event last week. After rising six places to 227th place, Borges defeated Silva in the first round.

Portugal's largest ranking surge was led by Henrique Rocha, who began the year at 850th place and jumped 15 spots, from 288th to 273rd.

Gonçalo Oliveira, who moved up from 241st to 239th place, and João Sousa, who moved down three spots to 278th place, are both still in the top 300.

Djokovic continues to lead the rankings, which are revealed on the day of the Paris Masters 1,000. He is closely followed by Russian Daniil Medvedev and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who are ranked second and third.
