In a statement, IPMA indicates that the orange warning, the second most serious on a scale of four, lasts between 12:00 and 21:00 today in the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo and Braga.
Between 09:00 and 12:00, the three districts in the North of mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning, the third most serious.
Also according to IPMA, the district of Aveiro will be under a yellow warning from 12:00 pm, then switched to an orange warning between 3:00pm and 9:00pm today.
The districts of Viseu and Vila Real will have a yellow warning between 12:00 and 9:00pm, also on Wednesday, while in the district of Coimbra the yellow warning will last between 3:00pm and 9:00pm.
According to IPMA, all of these warnings were issued due to forecasts of “sometimes heavy and persistent precipitation”.
