"We believe that IKEA plays an important role in making a more comfortable, beautiful, functional and sustainable home accessible to everyone. That's why we are channelling our expansion investments into these proximity formats, while at the same time investing in reducing the prices of our products, so that they are truly affordable to more and more people in Portugal," said Bruno Ferreira, IKEA's market manager, in a statement.

With this opening, IKEA now has a total of 11 Planning and Ordering Studios in mainland Portugal and the islands.
