In a statement, the Union of Agriculture and Food, Beverage and Tobacco Workers of Portugal (Sintab) states that the agreement guarantees the updating of the salary tables attached to the ACT by 4.3%, or 75 euros, whichever is more favourable.
Also planned is a reduction of one hour to the normal weekly working period for all workers.
For Sintab, the “main gains” of this agreement are “opening the door to reducing the weekly working period”, favouring a balance between personal and family life and work, and a supplementary increase in the hourly rate.
“Administrative function hours go from 38 to 37 hours per week, as well as industrial area function hours go from 39 to 38 hours per week”, details the union, recalling that this decrease “follows gains from previous years, with exemption from work for everyone on the 24th and 31st of December, as well as on their birthday”.
