This vaccination program which will take place for the first time this year aims to cover vaccines which are not included in the National Vaccination Plan.

The main aim of the Municipal Child Vaccination Support Program is to provide the municipality's younger population with vaccines, which although beneficial, are not included in the National Vaccination Plan, but which help to prevent diseases that mostly affect young people. According to the regulation provided by the Chamber of Lagos, this program will benefit all young people residing in Lagos, independently of their households.

This initiative arose after Lagos’ strong emphasis on the importance of healthcare and the approval of the Municipal Regulation for Support for Childhood Vaccination. If interested, an online application which can be found on the Online Services platform of Lagos must be submitted together with other necessary documentation requested.
