With 'CarrisWay', the company aims to make everyday life easier for public transport users, who can buy tickets and charge passes on their smartphone without using the usual charging points.
Payments can be made by MbWay or with a credit card, “it being possible to load several other transport tickets onto the personalised navigation card, including free tickets”, added Carris, highlighting that the app.
The carrier also informed that the app was created by the company itself, making it “the first transport operator in the national market to create and launch its own application for this purpose”.
The app is available for smartphones with compatible NFC technology, for Android and iOS systems.
Carris is the public road transport company for passengers in the city of Lisbon.
The app is only in Portuguese. It would be great if there was an English version

App is only in Portuguese language. Only accepts Portuguese banks or American credit cards Visa or Mastercard. No Maestro/Eurocard or other EU wide debit cards. No EU bank system integration. Amateurish.
