Fusion+ is a new product in Europe that aims to combat the protection gap in personal insurance for the use of personal mobility vehicles by guaranteeing “physical and financial protection to users”. “By directly integrating accident insurance, we simplify access to essential coverage and provide a clear response to the growing safety challenges of micromobility,” said Romain Afflelou, founder and CEO of Cosmo Connected.
The product is available in Portugal and also in Spain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, promising a gradual expansion to other European countries.
Expansion that is not limited to countries but to the partnership itself. Cosmo Connected’s founder and CEO confirmed that this launch “is just the beginning” and that both are “already working on implementing additional insurance solutions, including liability coverage, to further enhance protection and provide greater peace of mind to users.”
The Fusion+ combines the Cosmo Fusion connected helmet — which includes a smart taillight with fall detection and active signalling — with personal accident insurance provided by Allianz Partners, which covers medical expenses and financial losses in the event of an accident for the helmet owner, the insurer says in a statement.
Fusion+ will be available for purchase at over 500 retail and online stores, including Fnac and Amazon.
