Portugal and Lisbon continue to feature among the five most sought-after destinations by Tiqets customers when purchasing and booking tickets for cultural and tourist attractions, according to a report by Publituris.
Tiqets reports that French tourists continue to lead the purchase of tickets for Portuguese attractions, representing 21.7% of all reservations on the Tiqets platform. At the beginning of the year, Italian visitors rose to second place (14.5%) when purchasing tickets for attractions in Portugal, followed by tourists from Spain (13.1%), the USA (12.4%) and the United Kingdom (10.7%).
According to statistics from the platform for booking and purchasing tickets for attractions, “city passes” are the most sought-after type of product, “in line with the trend seen in 2023”. Palaces, aquariums, concerts and historical sites follow.
Among the most popular experiences on the Tiqets platform at the beginning of the year, the highlight goes to the Port wine cellars, which have registered “increasing interest from customers”, as new wine experiences have been integrated into the platform. Fado concerts have also registered “strong interest” among customers who purchase tickets through the platform.
Tiqets, an online platform for booking and purchasing tickets for attractions, is available in 60 countries and is headquartered in the Netherlands.
