The digital bank, which is one of the main challengers to traditional banking, has already announced the goal of reaching 1.5 million this year.
In 2024, Revolut should also add Portugal to the list of countries where it already offers personal credit to customers. The product should be made available in the second half of the year and will be the first time that Banco Revolut will offer financing to customers, “in a logic of transparency” and with “competitive” interest rates compared to the market, says Rúben Germano, who adds: “We don’t want hidden commissions and we want to be fair to the customer.”
As for other plans, the fintech of British origin failed to make available in Portugal, by the end of 2023, a Portuguese IBAN starting with “PT50”, as it had announced, as it currently uses the Lithuanian code.
Revolut's general director explains that this objective depends on the launch schedule of branches in other markets. But it should be noted that everything is in place to do so now in 2024, including with Banco de Portugal. “They have been very cooperative”, says Rúben Germano.

I am pretty new to Revolut, but I consider it a real good alternative to traditional banks, be it in it's easy to navigate app and services. Another great advantage is that you can send money to one of your contacts without any hassle using only their handle. Love it. Credit products will certainly be interesting to see.

Revolut are a nightmare and I wonder how many "customers" are people like me desperate to escape from Revolut ?
Revolut demanded very intrusive questions about me and my financial affairs (questions no other conventional bank has ever asked me) So I decided to close my account but was unable to do that because I had a few Euros left and there was no way to clear the balance.
So I deleted the app threw away my password and hoped Revolut would go away.
I get weekly emails from Revolut demanding "information" (very reminiscent of "The Prisoner" well you "won't get it".
Revolut threaten to disable my account. PLEASE couldn't you do it earlier ? You are welcome to to keep the €3.43 in my account.
If you enjoy irritating emails and demands for "information" then Revolut is the bank for you but if you want a quiet life I would bank with absolutely anyone else.
