According to the Daily Mail, Portuguese authorities entered the plane, coming from Manchester, when it landed in Portugal.
Happy with the arrest, the remaining passengers clapped when the man was removed from the plane.
Seeing that he was being filmed, the Brit leans into the camera and says: "Hey! I'm doing this for Manchester, for Oldham." The passenger who filmed it thanks the PSP.

On Monday, Jet2 confirmed that flight LS997, which was flying from Manchester to Fuerteventura, was diverted to Faro Airport on Friday 10 May "so that police could remove a disruptive passenger from the plane."
The company also adds that the man was "banned" from travelling with the company "for the rest of his life" and is considering "suing him for the costs of the diversion".
I hope they do sue, these idiots need to understand there are severe consequences for their actions.

This is outrageous. An EU country does not have the right to arrest a British citizen now that we have achieved Brexit. This passenger must sue the Portuguese police.
