The group at present is “in two-thirds of Portugal's municipalities”, but intends to continue expanding, according to Pedro Subtil, president of the board of directors, and reported by Jornal de Negócios.
“The next two new stores – an Intermarché and a Bricomarché – will open in Faro.
The company closed 2023 with a portfolio of 357 stores (265 Intermarché, 56 Bricomarché, and 36 Roady), 10 more than in the previous year, the result of an investment of 41.5 million euros. They currently employ more than 14,500 workers (+350 than in 2022).
Thank you for the information. It would have been nice to include what Intermarche is in the article for those of us who dont know. We read TPN for conclusive information so without all the particulars it's a guessing game. It looks like a dept. store or supermarket; will go to the net to check but shouldn't have to. You bring us so much useful information please think about what we need to know being the reader. Obrigado
