According to a sector source cited by the Automóvel Club de Portugal - ACP, the average price of a litre of petrol, will drop by 1 cent, while that of diesel will fall by 1.5 cents.

This is the third consecutive week in which both diesel and petrol have become cheaper.

"If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of straight diesel should be €1.549/l while that of straight 95 petrol should be €1.744/l", indicates the ACP.

These forecasts are based on the assumption of maintenance of the extraordinary tax reduction measures applied by the Government, in order to mitigate the increase in fuel prices.
