On Wednesday it cost 227.73 euros, 4.99 euros less than a week ago (-5.19%) – this value had not been recorded since November 29th of last year, when the basket was 225.58 euros.

Compared to the beginning of 2024, the basket is 8.31 euros cheaper. But, if we look at the same period last year, there was a price increase of 11.23 euros, and an even greater increase, of 44.1 euros, if we compare it with the price of the basket before the start of the war in Ukraine.

Looking only at the last week, from the 19th to the 26th of June, the products that had increased the most in price were the following: zucchini (15%), liquid yogurt (13%), tuna put in vegetable oil (11%), tomatoes and sliced ​​bread without the crust (both with 7%), turkey leg, roasted ground coffee, imported banana and semi-skimmed UHT milk (all with 5%) and, finally, cereal flakes, which registered an increase of 12 cents, that is, 4%.


Liquid yogurt increases 34% in just one year

Comparing the prices of last week's basket with the same set of products purchased a year ago, it appears that the following products registered the greatest price increase: liquid yogurt (34%), extra virgin olive oil (32%), fresh hake (27%), tuna put in olive oil (26%), tuna put in vegetable oil (22%), horse mackerel (21%), beef for cooking (17%), dried garlic and gala apple (both with 16 %) and orange (13%).


Fresh hake had the biggest increase since the start of the war in Ukraine

Looking at last week's basket prices and comparing them with the same set of products purchased on February 23, 2022, before the conflict in Ukraine, it can be seen that the following products registered the biggest price increases: fresh hake ( 95%), extra virgin olive oil (84%), white sugar (63%), cereal flakes (58%), tomato pulp (58%), red potato (55%), carolino rice (51%), onion (48%), Frankfurt sausages (47%) and horse mackerel (44%).
