On June 19th 2024 in central London, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK launched the first in its new series of Portugal Investor Forum events.

These exclusive, by-invitation-only gatherings are for a maximum of 35 guests and are tailored to the needs of private client professionals who advise family offices and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) on their worldwide business investments and tax affairs.

The Forum explores different aspects of investing in Portugal, with each event designed to offer in-depth insights into profitable investment options and to strengthen economic relationships between the UK and Portugal.

Topics covered at the Forum events will include little-known aspects of Portugal’s tax system which can facilitate international tax planning, the wide range of investment funds that now offer a route to Portugal’s well-known Golden Visa ‘residency by investment’ programme, and expert advice for UK-based ‘non-doms’ about why they should consider Portugal for their future plans.

The Chamber hosted its first Investor Forum in collaboration with the Mercan Group, a distinguished member of the Chamber. This edition of the Forum featured an in-depth exploration of the legal aspects of Portugal's Golden Visa programme and the investment fund options available.

The next Portugal Investor Forum will be held in central London in September 2024.
