The solar park, which has more than 64,554 bifacial panels, represents a total investment of 30 million euros
With a total installed power of 37 megawatt (MW) and a total annual production capacity of 56.84 GWh, the plants “correspond to the penultimate projects awarded to Iberdrola in the 2019 auction to be completed, and will generate enough energy to supply approximately 19 thousand households, avoiding the emission of more than 21 thousand tons of CO2 per year”, says the company
For Alejandra Reyna, general director of Iberdrola Renováveis Portugal, “the completion of two more Photovoltaic Plants represents an important milestone on the path towards the decarbonisation of the economy, reinforcing the renewable energy production capacity in Portugal and contributing to socio-economic development, in line with national and global goals for reducing emissions and promoting energy autonomy”.
