In a statement, STRUP indicates that among the demands of the employees of the company Sandbus Transportes, Unipessoal Lda, is the “maintenance of the work shifts as of 1 June 2024”, withdrawing a change that “severely penalises and discriminates against the workers of this company, in relation to workers at companies with identical work within the EVA/Barraqueiro group, such as PXM and Translagos”.

The company Sandbus Transportes, Unipessoal Lda provides regular road passenger transport in Portimão, in the district of Faro.

“Lunch at the restaurant for all drivers regardless of where they start or finish their shift, a right that has been enshrined and acquired over many years” is another demand that the union structure guarantees that “workers will not give up”.

The union, therefore, warns that in cases where “the provision of minimum services is necessary”, these must “respect the principles of necessity, adequacy and proportionality” provided for in the Labour Code.
